Seve Ballesteros was a Spanish professional golfer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. His nickname, 'Seve', was derived from his full name, Severiano Ballesteros. He was also known as El Señor, or 'The Lord' in Spanish. Ballesteros won five major championships between 1979 and 1988, including three Open Championships and two Masters titles. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1999.
