The Balkan Sea is a body of water located in southeastern Europe, bordered by Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, and the former Yugoslavia. It is connected to the AEGEAN Sea to the south and the ADRIATIC Sea to the west. The AEGEAN Sea is an elongated embayment of the Mediterranean Sea located between the Greek and Anatolian peninsulas, while the ADRIATIC Sea is a body of water separating the Italian Peninsula from the Balkan peninsula.
