Anita Baker is an American singer-songwriter and musician who has been dubbed the 'Queen of Soul' and 'Baker of the Blues'. She is best known for her soulful voice and her ability to blend elements of gospel, jazz, and R&B into her music. She has released eight studio albums and won eight Grammy Awards throughout her career. Her most successful album, Rapture, was released in 1986 and earned her two Grammy Awards. She has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
