The Aztec Emperor Montezuma was the ninth ruler of the Aztec Empire, which was located in what is now Mexico. He reigned from 1502 to 1520 and was known for his military conquests and expansion of the empire. He was also a patron of the arts and culture, and was responsible for the construction of many temples and monuments. He was eventually overthrown by the Spanish conquistadors, leading to the fall of the Aztec Empire.
