Andre Citroen was a French industrialist who founded the car manufacturing company Citroen in 1919. He was an innovator in the automotive industry and is credited with introducing mass production techniques to the industry. His company was one of the first to produce affordable cars for the masses, and he was also responsible for introducing the first front-wheel drive car. Citroen cars are still produced today and remain popular in Europe.
