Leo Tolstoy was a Russian author and philosopher who is widely regarded as one of the greatest authors of all time. He is best known for his novels War and Peace and Anna Karenina, which are considered masterpieces of realist fiction. Tolstoy was born in 1828 and died in 1910. His works have been translated into more than 170 languages and he is one of the most widely read authors in the world.
