Erich Segal was an American author, screenwriter, and educator. He is best known for his novel Love Story, which was adapted into a popular film of the same name. He also wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation of the novel. Segal also wrote several other novels, including The Class, Doctors, and Prizes. He was a professor of classics at Yale University and Harvard University. Segal passed away in 2010.
