Fyodor Dostoyevsky was a Russian author best known for his novels 'CRIME and Punishment' and 'The POSSESSED'. He was born in Moscow in 1821, but spent much of his life in Omsk, Siberia. His novel 'NOTES from the Underground' is considered to be one of the first existentialist works of literature. He also wrote several short stories, including 'Sasha Chorny', which is about a young girl's struggle with poverty. Dostoyevsky is widely regarded as one of the greatest authors of all time.
