Eric Ambler is an author best known for his works in the thriller and espionage genres. His full name is Eric Clifford Ambler, and he was born in London in 1909. He wrote under the pen name Eric Ambler, and his works include 'The Mask of Dimitrios' and 'Journey INTO Fear'. He was also a screenwriter, and his works were adapted INTO films such as 'A Night to Remember' and 'The Cruel Sea'. He was awarded the Crime Writers' Association's highest honor, the Diamond Dagger, in 1993. Eric Ambler died in 1998 at the age of 89.
