Augustus and Julius were two of the most famous Roman Caesars. Augustus, also known as Octavian, was the first Roman Emperor and Julius Caesar was his great-uncle. Augustus was the adopted son of Julius and succeeded him as ruler of the Roman Empire. Julius is remembered for his military campaigns and reforms, while Augustus is remembered for his administrative reforms and for establishing the Pax Romana, a period of peace and prosperity in the Roman Empire.
