Atlanta University is a collective term used to refer to the three major universities located in Atlanta, Georgia. The first is the Georgia Institute of Technology, commonly known as Tech, which is a public research university with an emphasis on science and technology. The second is Emory University, a private research university that is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Lastly, OMNI Atlanta University is a private, for-profit university that offers a variety of degree programs.
