Athletic awards are given to recognize excellence in sports. The ESPYS, an acronym for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards, is an annual award show presented by the American broadcast network ABC and ESPN. It honors individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performances. TROPHIES are also awarded to athletes for their accomplishments. They are usually made of metal or wood and are often engraved with the athlete's name and the event they won.
