An athlete's award can refer to two different awards. The first is the ESPY, which stands for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award. This award is presented by the American cable television network ESPN to recognize individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance during the calendar year preceding a given annual ceremony. The second award is a LETTER, which is an award given to athletes who have participated in a sport at a high school or college level. It is usually given to those who have achieved a certain level of excellence in their sport.
