Anne McClain is an American astronaut and former U.S. Army officer. She was selected as a NASA astronaut in 2013 and completed her first spaceflight in 2018, becoming the first woman to perform a spacewalk outside the International Space Station. She is also the first female graduate of the U.S. Military Academy to fly in space. McClain has logged over 200 days in space and is currently assigned to the crew of the first operational flight of SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft.
