Leroy Neiman was an American artist known for his vibrant, colorful paintings and prints of athletes, musicians, and other celebrities. He was also a noted illustrator of sporting events, including the Olympics and Super Bowls. Neiman was born in 1921 in St. Paul, Minnesota and studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He was a prolific artist, creating hundreds of works over his lifetime. Neiman's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, and he was awarded numerous honors, including the National Medal of Arts in 2003.
