MARC Chagall was a Russian-French artist who is considered one of the most important figures in modern art. He was born in 1887 in Vitebsk, Belarus and is known for his unique style of painting which combined elements of cubism, surrealism, and expressionism. His works often featured dreamlike scenes with vibrant colors and whimsical characters. He is best known for his stained glass windows in the synagogue of the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem.
