DIALECTIC is a method of reasoning that involves the exchange of ideas between two or more people in order to arrive at a conclusion. POLEMICS, on the other hand, is a form of argumentative discourse that is used to attack or refute an opposing point of view. Both of these techniques are used in the Art of Disputation to help reach a resolution.
