Ramon Novarro was an actor who was born in Mexico in 1899 and moved to the United States at a young age. He was best known for his roles in silent films, such as Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925) and The Student Prince in Old Heidelberg (1927). He was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Pagan (1929). Novarro's career ended in the 1940s, and he died in 1968.
