Actor Laurence Olivier was an English actor, director, and producer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors of all time. He was born in 1907 and began his career in the theatre, performing in various Shakespearean plays. He later transitioned to film, appearing in over 50 films between 1930 and 1976. He won four Academy Awards for Best Actor, and was knighted in 1947. His most famous roles include Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights (1939), Maxim de Winter in Rebecca (1940), and Henry V (1944). He was also known for his portrayal of the title character in Richard III (1955). Olivier was married three times and died in 1989 at the age of 82.
