Aconcagua's Range is the highest mountain range in the world, located in the ANDES. It is part of the American Cordillera, a chain of mountain ranges that runs along the western coast of South America. The range is named after Aconcagua, the highest peak in the range, which stands at 6, 962 meters (22, 841 feet) above sea level. The range also includes many other peaks, some of which are over 5, 000 meters (16, 400 feet) high.
