The Aconcagua Range is located in the ANDES mountain range, which stretches along the western coast of South America. It is the highest peak in Argentina and is part of the American Cordillera, a chain of mountain ranges that extends from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. The Aconcagua Range is also known as the ALTO Aconcagua, and is bordered by the Ural Mountains in Russia and the ALAI Mountains in Kyrgyzstan.
