Abolitionists were people who advocated for the end of slavery in the United States during the 19th century. The term 'DRYS' is an acronym for 'Dry Law Supporters, ' which was a group of people who supported the Eighteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which prohibited the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcoholic beverages.
