Diane Sawyer is an American journalist and television news anchor who has been the host of ABC News' flagship program, ABC World News, since 2009. She has also worked as a correspondent for CBS News and ABC News, and was the co-anchor of ABC's Primetime news magazine from 1998 to 2000. Sawyer has won numerous awards for her work, including three Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism.
