An ossicle is a small bone found in the middle ear of humans and other mammals. It is one of three bones known as the auditory ossicles, which are the smallest bones in the human body. The other two ossicles are the INCUS and the stapes. The INCUS is the second-smallest bone in the body and is located between the malleus and the stapes. Together, these three bones form a chain that transmits sound vibrations from the eardrum to the inner ear.
