The Zero Latitude Line, also known as the Equator, is an imaginary line that divides the Earth into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. It is located at 0° latitude and is the longest circle of latitude on Earth. The Equator is the reference line from which all other latitudes are measured. It is also the line of greatest solar intensity, meaning that it receives the most direct sunlight.
