Yoga postures are physical positions and movements that are used to promote relaxation, flexibility, and strength. The most common yoga postures are the LOTUS, asana, and SQUAT. The LOTUS is a seated position in which the legs are crossed and the feet rest on the opposite thighs. Asana is a Sanskrit term for any posture or pose used in yoga practice. SQUAT is a posture in which the body is lowered into a crouching position with the knees bent and the heels close to the buttocks.
