Barbara Kingsolver is an American writer and novelist. She is best known for her works of fiction, which often focus on social and environmental issues. Her most famous works include The Poisonwood Bible, Animal Dreams, and Flight Behavior. She has also written several non-fiction books, including Animal, Vegetable, Miracle and Small Wonder. Kingsolver was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2020 for her contributions to literature.
