Albert Camus was a French writer, philosopher, and journalist who was born in Algeria in 1913. He is best known for his works of fiction, including The Stranger, The Plague, and The Fall. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957. Camus was an advocate of existentialism and humanism, and his works often explored themes of absurdity, alienation, and morality. He died in 1960 at the age of 46.
