Writer Anne Tyler is an American novelist, short story writer, and literary critic. She is best known for her novels, which often focus on the lives of contemporary American families. Tyler has won numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1989 for her novel Breathing Lessons. She has also been nominated for the National Book Award and the Orange Prize for Fiction. Tyler's works have been translated into more than 25 languages.
