A worker is someone who performs a job for pay. The term can refer to a variety of different roles, such as a SLAVE, ARTISAN, OPERATIVE, HAND, PEON, DRONE, prole, EARNER, TOILER, MIGRANT, LABORER, or EMPLOYEE. A SLAVE is someone who is owned by another person and forced to work without pay. An ARTISAN is a skilled craftsperson who creates handmade items. An OPERATIVE is a person who works in a factory or other industrial setting. A HAND is a manual LABORER who does physical work. A PEON is an unskilled LABORER who is paid very little. A DRONE is someone who performs repetitive tasks without much thought. A prole is a member of the working class. An EARNER is someone who earns money through their labor. A TOILER is someone who works hard and long hours. A MIGRANT is someone who moves from place to place to find work. A LABORER is someone who does manual labor. An EMPLOYEE is someone who is hired to do a job for an employer.
