A work group is a collective of individuals who come together to complete a task or project. It can be referred to as a TEAM, UNIT, GANG, CREW, or STAFF. A TEAM is a small group of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose, performance goals, and approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable. A UNIT is a group of people organized for a particular purpose, such as a business or government department. A GANG is a group of people who associate closely with one another and share a common identity. A CREW is a group of workers, typically unskilled laborers, who are hired to perform a specific task. Finally, a STAFF is a group of people employed by an organization to assist in the operation of the organization.
