The White-tailed Eagle, also known as the ERNE (4 letters) or Ern (3 letters), is a large bird of prey found in parts of Europe, Asia, and North America. It is the national bird of Finland and is one of the most widely distributed species of eagle. The White-tailed Eagle has a wingspan of up to 2.45 meters and is easily recognizable by its white tail feathers. It feeds mainly on fish, but will also take small mammals, birds, and carrion. It is an endangered species due to habitat loss and illegal hunting.
