Emlyn Williams was a Welsh actor and playwright who was born in 1905. He is best known for his stage performances in the plays Night Must Fall and The Corn Is Green, as well as his film roles in The Corn Is Green, The Last Days of Dolwyn, and The Druid's Rest. He was also a prolific writer, having written over 20 plays and several novels. He was knighted in 1952 for his services to the theatre.
