The Watergate Prosecutor was Archibald Cox, commonly referred to by his initials 'Cox'. He was an American lawyer and law professor who served as the Special Prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice during the Watergate scandal. He was appointed by Attorney General Elliot Richardson in May 1973 and was fired by President Richard Nixon in October 1973. His dismissal is known as the Saturday Night Massacre.
