Elmer Fudd is a fictional cartoon character created by Warner Bros. He is one of the most recognizable characters in animation and has been featured in Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons since his debut in 1937. He is best known for his speech impediment, which replaces his Rs and Ls with Ws, and his catchphrase 'Be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits'. Elmer Fudd is a hunter, often hunting Bugs Bunny, and is thus known as a 'wabbit hunter'.
