Virgil Epic is a term used to describe the works of the Roman poet Virgil, most notably his epic poem The Aeneid. The Aeneid is an epic poem written by Virgil in the 1st century BC and is considered one of the most important works of Latin literature. It tells the story of Aeneas, a Trojan who escaped the destruction of Troy and eventually founded the city of Rome. The poem is divided into twelve books and is composed of more than 10, 000 lines of verse.
