Antonio Stradivari, also known as AMATI, was an Italian luthier and a violin pioneer. He is widely considered the most significant and greatest artisan in this field. He is best known for his violins, which are still prized for their superior sound quality. He was born in Cremona, Italy in 1644 and died in 1737. He was the founder of the Stradivari family of luthiers, which included his sons Francesco and Omobono.
