Video game makers Atari and Sega are two of the most well-known companies in the gaming industry. Atari was founded in 1972 and is credited with creating the first commercially successful video game, Pong. Sega was founded in 1960 and is known for its popular console systems such as the Sega Genesis and Dreamcast. Both companies have released numerous classic video games over the years, and continue to be major players in the gaming industry today.
