Verne Hero is a term used to refer to two characters created by Jules Verne, Captain Nemo and Phileas Fogg. Captain Nemo is the protagonist of Verne's novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and is a mysterious figure who commands the submarine Nautilus. Phileas Fogg is the protagonist of Around the World in Eighty Days, and is an English gentleman who attempts to circumnavigate the world in 80 days. Both characters are considered heroes of Verne's works and are often referred to collectively as Verne Heroes.
