Sarah Vaughan was an American jazz singer and pianist who was one of the most influential vocalists of the 20th century. She was known for her unique vocal style, which combined elements of classical music with jazz and blues. Her career spanned over five decades, during which she released numerous albums and singles. She won four Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Down Beat Jazz Hall of Fame in 1972.
