Drake University is a private university located in Des Moines, Iowa. It was founded in 1881 and is the largest private university in the state. It is known for its strong liberal arts and sciences programs, as well as its professional schools of business, law, pharmacy, and education. Drake University is also home to the Drake Relays, one of the oldest and most prestigious track and field events in the United States.
