Universal Studios Japan City is located in Osaka, Japan. It is a theme park that opened in 2001 and is owned and operated by USJ Co., Ltd., a joint venture between NBCUniversal and the Japanese conglomerate, Sega Sammy Holdings. The park features attractions based on popular Universal franchises such as Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, and Minions. It also has several original attractions, including the world's first 4K3D digital theater.
