The term UNDERWATER WEAPON refers to weapons used in underwater warfare. These include the TORPEDO, a self-propelled missile that is launched from a submarine or warship; the SPEARGUN, a type of gun used to fire a spear at a target; the MINE, an explosive device placed in the water to damage or destroy ships; and the DEPTHCHARGE, an explosive device designed to be dropped into the water to attack submarines.
