An undercover person, also known as a NARC (4 letters), is someone who works in law enforcement and is assigned to investigate criminal activities by posing as a member of the public. They often work in secret and use their undercover identity to gain access to information or evidence that would otherwise be difficult to obtain. They may also be used to infiltrate criminal organizations or to gather intelligence on suspects.
