Tyra Banks is an American television personality, model, businesswoman, and author. She first rose to prominence as a model in the 1990s, becoming the first African-American woman to be featured on the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She later gained fame for her work as a television host, notably on the long-running reality show America's Next Top Model. Banks has also hosted her own talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, and authored several books.
