Ernest Tubb was a legendary country music singer and songwriter from Texas. He was known for his distinctive honky-tonk style and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1965. He is often referred to as the 'King of Western Swing' and was one of the first country singers to have a major hit with a song written by him. He was also a pioneer in the development of the Nashville sound.
