Trumpeter Davis is a reference to Miles Davis, an American jazz musician who was one of the most influential figures in jazz music. He was born in 1926 and began playing trumpet at the age of 13. He went on to become one of the most influential jazz musicians of all time, releasing over 30 albums and winning eight Grammy Awards. His career spanned five decades and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
