A tribal group is a social organization consisting of a number of families, clans, or other groups that are linked by social, economic, religious, or blood ties. A CLAN is a group of people united by actual or perceived kinship and descent. Clans are typically associated with a common ancestor and are usually named after that ancestor. Clans may also be organized around a totem or emblem, which serves as a symbol of the group's identity.
