A Triage Team Member is a medical professional, usually a MEDIC, who is responsible for assessing the severity of injuries and illnesses in order to prioritize treatment. They are often the first responders on the scene of an emergency and must quickly determine which patients need immediate attention and which can wait. They also provide basic medical care such as wound dressing and splinting. The role requires a high level of skill and knowledge in order to make accurate assessments and provide appropriate care.
