The Trapp Family was a real-life family of singers and musicians made famous by the 1965 musical film The Sound of Music. The family was led by Georg von Trapp, a retired Austrian naval officer, and his wife Maria. The von Trapp family consisted of seven children, Rupert, Agathe, Maria, Werner, Hedwig, Johanna, and Martina. They were known for their singing and performed in concerts throughout Europe.
